It is one of the most popular forms of massage offering a relaxing and nurturing treatment. This is a complete full body massage which include: legs, back, abdomen, feet, hands, face, head, shoulders, neck, and upper torso.          This is an excellent foundation course for pursuing a career in complementary therapies or further study. Upon completion of the course students will be qualified to carry out a full body holistic massage as a Holistic Therapist. The student will have acquired the skills to communicate and facilitate the client in consultation.                   Course content includes the following:          Anatomy & Physiology: The Cell & Tissues, The Skin, Skeleton System, Muscular System, Circulatory & Lymphatic System, Nervous System, Endocrine System, Respiratory System, Digestion System, Urinary System, Reproduction System        Massage Practical & Theory: This course teaches Practical techniques of Holistic Massage incorporating the classical movements of effleurage, petrissage, tapotment, friction and vibration which enables the therapist to provide full body, face, scalp hand & foot massage. History of Massage, Effects & Benefits, Consultation & Treatment, Common ailments and contraindications, other Therapies. Towel Draping, Client Care, After Care Advice, Posture & Balance.        Professional Conduct / Business Awareness: Professionalism, Ethics, Health & Safety Legislation, Hygiene, First Aid, Running a Business, Marketing & Promotion.               Course Duration: This course will be held every Monday and every Wednesday from 6.30pm - 9.30pm        Commencement Date:  13th September, 2010        Course Fee: €1850 (includes uniform, book, & exam fees). A non refundable deposit of €460 is required to secure a place.
